Abstract

Against the background of consumption upgrading and the dividends of the Beijing Winter Olympics, ice and snow outdoor sports specialized towns have become important carriers of China’s ice and snow industry development. This study uses literature review and logical analysis to define the concept and theoretical basis of such towns, analyzes their current industrial development status, and summarizes four development types and four restrictive factors, including indistinct industrial characteristics, insufficient industrial integration, imperfect coordination mechanisms, and inadequate public services. It proposes targeted development strategies: building a professional and comprehensive project system, creating multi-industry integrated all-season business forms, establishing a dual-drive model of brand events and festivals, and improving the diversified coordination mechanism. The research aims to provide a theoretical reference for the high-quality and sustainable development of ice and snow outdoor sports specialized towns.
