Abstract

This study utilizes data on digital economy development and service trade exports from 121 countries between 2003 and 2022. Through trend analysis and model validation, we demonstrate that the development level of the digital economy has a significant positive impact on service trade growth. Heterogeneity analysis further reveals that digital economy development exhibits stronger promoting effects on service trade in developing countries. The paper's contributions primarily lie in employing a novel methodology for measuring digital economy development. Finally, recommendations are provided to enhance future research.
